Magic the Gathering has cemented itself as one of the most popular trading card games in the world, and the 2013 refresh has launched today (13 July 2012).
Players can now lay hands on the new cards, including the 2013 Deck Builder’s Toolkit and Intro packs.
Deck Builder’s Toolkit
The Deck Builder’s Toolkit comes with everything needed to learn how to build a good deck, including land cards, over 100 good common and uncommon cards, and boosters from current sets. They are designed to ensure that players acquire the best foundation and most enjoyable experience possible.
Each box contains:
- 125 semi-randomized cards suitable for building several different Magic decks;
- Four 15-card booster packs from a variety of recent Magic: The Gathering sets;
- 100 basic land cards to help you cast your spells;
- Deck builder’s guide with tips about building the best Magic decks;
- Magic “learn to play” guide; and
- Full-art reusable card storage box.
Magic 2013 Core Set Intro Packs
Intro Packs are designed for players that are completely new to Magic: The Gathering. They are easy to grasp and immediately playable right out of the box.
They show off some of the best elements of strategic diversity and the rich fantasy world that is the setting for the game. And for Magic 2013 the Intro Packs are bigger and better than ever before. Instead of only one, players will now receive two 15-card boosters and the new packaging allows better visibility of the premium foil card included in every pack.
There are five different Intro Packs – Path to Victory, Depths of Power, Sole Domination, Mob Rule and Wild Rush. Each of them includes:
- A ready-to-play 60-card deck
- One foil premium
- Two sealed 15-card booster packs
- A strategy insert
- A Magic “learn to play” guide
