Braid PSN inbound

3 August 2009

A Neogaf forumite has discovered a posting by the German ratings board which confirms that Braid will soon be available for download over PSN.

The critically acclaimed title was initially released in August 2008 on Xbox Live Arcade. Later a Microsoft Windows Version and a Mac OS port were released in response to the game’s popularity.

Game Designer Jonathan Blow self funded the project and created it as a personal comment on current trends in game development. It took three years to complete and eventually became the highest rated title on Xbox Live.

On a personal level Blow has often criticised the gaming industry, even going as far as to label World of Warcraft “unethical” due to its reward for suffering scheme which, according to him, keeps players in front of their screens.

Braid is easily one of the most unique and interesting games to ever be released, and PS3 owners will have reason to celebrate come the launch of the title on PSN.
