Teen stabs neighbour over online game

2 August 2012

A teenager has stabbed his buddy after a spat broke out, presumably over the online game they were playing together.

The California residents were each playing a multiplayer game in their respective homes, when things got heated in the online space, causing the 17-year old to head over to his mates house and continue his combo, unfortunately it was no longer in the game.

The victim, a 20-year old man, was confronted in his home by the 17-year old, who drew a gun and fired, but missed.

The attacker then went on to stab the 20-year old repeatedly.

“He actually had the gun aimed at me, but he shot at my son,” said the victim’s mother. “I went downstairs to call the police and he ran downstairs, put his gun down, ran back up the stairs and evidently — I thought they were fist-fighting — he was stabbing the h*ll out of my son.”

After fleeing, the attacker was then arrested and has been charged with attempted murder.

The victim is in a stable condition in a California hospital.
