An Activision report on the company’s Q2 earnings have revealed that Blizzard’s colossal dungeon-crawler has accumulated (trapped) 10 million users.
3.5 million copies of Diablo III were sold in the first 24 hours of the game’s launch day, with 1.2 million players joining from having purchased the World of Warcraft Annual Pass offer, which gave access on launch.
Another 1.6 million players purchased Diablo III within the following week, pushing the tally up to 6.3 million.
The current figure of over 10 million is a huge jump from the game’s launch, and shows that despite Diablo III’s complaints, the game has maintained it’s traction.
