Molyneux’s next experiment to be “the biggest cooperative effort the world has ever known”

28 August 2012

After the September launch of Curiosity: What’s in the Box?, Peter Molyneux’s next game will apparently be something called Cooperation, and it’s nothing less than “the biggest cooperative effort the world has ever known”. Obviously.

“Cooperation is very, very different, maybe it’s not a game, or maybe you’d call it a social game,” the ‘Neux told The Verge. “If you think of (Curiosity) being the biggest mystery posted to the digital world, Cooperation is the biggest cooperative effort the world has ever known.”

Although he wouldn’t say much more about the game / social game / whatever, he did mention that it would also be competitive and added that he’s always thought of tug-of-war as an interesting social experiment. Most intriguing. What about a joint effort to rid the planet of inane YouTube commentators? You read it here first.

Cooperation will be the second in Molyneux’s new studio 22 Cans’ 22 ongoing “22 experiments” project.
