PC gamers who complain about the continual horde of games hitting consoles and a lack of PC titles probably aren’t paying close enough attention to what’s in store for the ol’ mouse and keyboard enthusiasts.
The PC release schedule is looking pretty healthy, with a number of games set to bring back some classic IPs, along with some modern sequels.
Arma III
Following on the heels of the uber-popular DayZ mod for Arma II, Bohemia Interactive returns with the next instalment in its open-world military sim, as Arma III heads to PCs this year.
This time however, things have jumped a bit further into the future – 2030 to be exact. You’ll be thrown into the shoes of an SAS soldier on the Greek island of Limnos.
Company of Heroes 2
Company of Heroes 2 will follow up from the critically-acclaimed 2006 strategy game, which garnered a huge cult following from its release.
Officially announced back in May, the sequel will feature a new campaign following the battles across the Eastern Front of Europe in World War II, a new Essence 3.0 Engine, and a ‘True Sight’ game mechanic, in which players will only be able to see what their controlled soldiers see, leaving what may be behind the next building or treeline unknown.

Command and Conquer
Command & Conquer will be making a comeback on PCs in 2013 (which is not that far away) after being mutated into a free-to-play title from originally being a planned sequel to Generals.
Command & Conquer will use the Frostbite 2 engine, bringing the gorgeous visuals and destructibility associated with Battlefield 3 to the C&C warzone.
EA has also announced that the game will feature a single-player campaign, in addition to the focus on multiplayer.

Torchlight II
Runic Games’ Torchlight was always destined to be compared to Diablo, and was often seen as a rip-off; but when Torchlight released in 2010, it became an instant cult-classic and even preferable to the Diablo series in some cases.
Torchlight II is set to bring a satisfying dungeon crawling experience with more monsters to kill, more sweet loot to collect, larger maps to explore, and a revamped skill system – and it even has LAN support!

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
A sequel is finally on its way for arguably one of the most frightening games of all time – Amnesia.
A Machine for Pigs will continue the quest for survival, although as an indirect follow-up to the original game.
Featuring a new cast of characters and time setting, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs should bring some new surprises to the fan-favourite gameplay style embedded from the original.
Notable mentions: Total War: Rome II, WoW: Mists of Pandaria (expansion), Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm (expansion), Blacklight Retribution, Neverwinter, Planetside 2, Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai, Painkiller Hell and Damnation.
