ARMA III devs suspected of “espionage”

13 September 2012

As reported earlier this week, two Bohemia Interactive developers were arrested for photographing a military base on the Greek island of Lemnos. Authorities are to transport the devs to face a preliminary trial.

The 28 and 33-year old will be taken to the island of Lesbos, where they will face accusations of suspicion of espionage, after the two were caught taking photos and video of military installations on the island of Lemnos.

“They are going to be moved to Lesbos to go to the district court, as I understand it,” Bohemia executive producer Jan Kunt said.

“They haven’t been charged yet, but the police are giving the court information about what happened.”

The devs claim that they were researching and gathering reference material for their upcoming game, ARMA III, which is set on the same island.
