SA Gears of War 3 servers retire

12 November 2012

Mweb GameZone has announced the retirement of their SA Gears of War 3 servers, which gave local gamers a whole lot of low-latency chainsawing satisfaction.

Mweb originally held a contract with Gamerservers.com and Microsoft to host the Gears 3 severs, but the 12-month period of the contract has now lapsed.

“We know that there is a committed and passionate Gears of War 3 community in South Africa and we share their disappointment,” said Mweb Gamezone.

There is no plan to renew the contract, although Desmond Kurz of Mweb gaming did say that the team will aim to secure console servers for Gears of War: Judgment if possible.
