Some of South Africa’s best gamers have joined forces to take on the competitive gaming world.

Energy eSports is a new local multi-gaming organisation (MGO), comprising three veterans of the SA competitive gaming scene.

Matt ‘fluKe’ Merks (owner of PolarfluKe), Rob ‘GrIdL0cK’ Clegg (ex-Pantheon Gaming founder) and Kas ‘CAWA’ Ahmad (Monster Energy gaming team founder and leader) will lead Energy eSports, adding some gaming pedigree to the operation.

Energy eSports will compete in Black Ops 2, DoTA 2 and Counter Strike: GO events leagues and events, and have recruited some of the best talent around.

“This year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Do Gaming Championship winners and third place teams will be joining the ranks of Energy eSports along with the winners of the DGL Ready.Set.GO! Cup, c7e,” said Energy eSports. “To cover the DotA 2 competitions, we have also enlisted the services of LEGS who have placed in the top three for numerous competitions including the DGL SteelSeries Spring League and the PolarfluKe SECS season one.”

SteelSeries and Monster Energy are already onboard as sponsors for Energy eSports, and will provide Energy with what’s needed to reach the top.
