Tomb Raider to get multiplayer modes

29 December 2012

Square Enix’s gritty, impressive looking Tomb Raider reboot will be getting Multiplayer modes, said Crystal Dynamics Global Brand Director Karl Stewart.

The news came via Twitter: “OK, so after all the speculation.. yes it’s true. Check out @OXM for all the info on @tombraider’s new multiplayer”

Stewart isn’t letting slip any details, only saying that the next issue of Official Xbox Magazine will detail “new modes and info on who you’ll be playing as”.

Harmonix publicist and former editor at Destructoid commented on the news on Twitter: “If Raziel isn’t a playable character on a Nosgoth map in Tomb Raider multiplayer, I’m cancelling my pre-order.”

You’ll have to wait for OXM like everyone else to find out, Nick.

Is Tomb Raider multiplayer viable? Would you play it? What kind of modes would you like to see? Tell us what you think in the comments.
