According to a video report by the BBC, gaming experts predict that by the end of 2013 in the UK, there will be more women than men playing video games. This includes everything from the “traditional” core games, to the ever-expanding “casual” games market.
The BBC also reports that:
- 75% of women who game no longer think the hobby has anything to do with gender.
- Social games account for 40% of the female audience.
