Microsoft, EA in exclusive partnership?

27 February 2013

Microsoft and EA are said to be joining forces for an exclusivity deal ahead of the reveal for the next Xbox.

The news comes from CVG sources, who say that there are no details on exactly what the exclusivity extends to, but that EA and Microsoft have secured a partnership.

The exclusive deal is expected to be related to the downloadable or additional game content, or staggered release dates.

EA also didn’t make an appearance at the PS4 reveal conference, and when asked about it, CFO Blake Jorgensen had the following to say:.

“It was more about timing of our own slate as well as trying to maintain a good balance of power with all the parties out there and choosing when to unveil certain pieces of software.”

“I’d say, between now and E3, you are going to see a lot of stuff, and we are going to chose with our marketing teams when to announce,” added Jorgensen.
