Ubisoft has released a new Watch Dogs trailer which further showcases the futuristic hacking and hunting exploits of the game’s protagonist, Aiden Pearce.

The video highlights the ctOS system, and more specifically, how Aiden can hack into the city’s network to access a multitude of devices.

We learn that the ctOS system that Aiden will use to his advantage was initially created for Chicago Police Department, and its unknown how Aiden gained access to it.

Previously leaked promo material for Watch Dogs suggested that the game will be released in the 2013 holiday season. This lines up with the holiday 2013 PS4 launch date pegged by Sony.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will hit current-gen consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U), PS4 and PC.

Development of Watch Dogs is being led by Ubisoft Montreal, with support from Ubisoft’s Bucharest, Paris, Quebec and Reflections studios.
