Nvidia has released a new video showcasing the “massive destruction” that is possible with Nvidia’s new environmental tech.

The video highlights the “Real Time Dynamic Fracture with Volumetric Approximate Convex Decompositions,” which is basically a fancy way to say “things going boom”.

There are some great particle and physics effects in the video, and the specific breakages in the environment are impressive.

The entire demonstration is running on a single GTX 680 graphics card at 30 frames-per-second.

Mmm… well it’s ok. However if you’ve ever watched a structure being imploded or destroyed you’ll notice that that dust particle don’t fall down… in fact they spew up into the air and hang around for quite a while. I think they set the mass and weight of their dust particles too high? or maybe this is set on a high gravity world?? Otherwise I like it. Fully destructable environments would be awesome.
