games you can play this week

April is finally here and with the first week comes a returning FPS fan-favourite and a new entry into the MMO scene.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation (5 April 2013)

The PC shooter which released last year makes its way to consoles this week, and fans can expect more over-the-top craziness, insane bad guys and creative weaponry that the series has become known for.

Classic weapons return alongside new additions, with two firing modes. Likewise, the rock and metal soundtrack is alive and well with Hell & Damnation.

MyGaming’s Rob Valentine reviewed the PC version; see what he had to say: Painkiller: Hell & Damnation review.

Defiance (2 April 2013)

Defiance is a game you may not know about, but given its release this week, maybe you should.

The game is a science-fiction themed persistent world MMO. The game is developed by Trion Worlds, the developer behind Rift and End of Nations.

Defiance ties into the SyFy show of the same name and is set in the future around the San Fransisco Bay area.

The game will be available for Windows, Xbox 360 and PS3.
