Microsoft rescheduling next Xbox reveal?

8 April 2013

Switching up the rumoured dates of the Xbox 720 announcement, its now been speculated that Microsoft will unveil its new console on 21 May 2013, according to The Verge.

The news comes through sources “familiar with Microsoft’s Xbox plans”, who have said that the new revised date is when the next Xbox iteration will be shown to the public.

Microsoft was originally said to be showing the next-gen Xbox on 26 April 2013.

The original date came from a tweet by CVG associate editor Rob Crossley, who claims that a “trusted source” said that the Xbox event is scheduled for 26 April 2013.

This isn’t the first time that the next-gen Xbox has appeared in the news this last week, as a Microsoft employee tweeted about some yet-to-be announced features, and the mother-ship wasn’t happy. This has led to some media and community outcry regarding the 720’s rumoured “always-on” feature.
