NFS: Underground reboot a “fake”

15 April 2013

After some logo artwork emerged online last week, the Need for Speed developer has debunked the rumours, saying that there is no such game in the works.

Criterion Games’ creative director Alex Ward was the man to shatter dreams, and took to Twitter to express his views.

Ward also added “Sequels. Reboots. Remakes. Been there. Done that,” in a second tweet.

The original rumours of an NFS: Undrground reboot emerged when a number of Criterion employee’s Linkedin profiles listed an “unannounced” 2013 racing title, with a mysterious image then being sent to EGM, which showed a newly designed Need for Speed: Underground logo.
