MSSA Black Ops 2 Regional coming to Cape Town

The MSSA has announced that the Black Ops 2 Regional Tournament for Xbox 360 will take place in Cape Town on Saturday, 11 May 2013.

The event will be hosted by Games on Club at the Games On gaming lounge.

The tournament will see Cape Town Black Ops 2 teams go head to head, with the winning team then taking part in the North vs. South battle with the winning Gauteng Provincial team.

The tournament will be a 4v4 structure, with eight teams competing in total.  All players of the teams need to be registered with the MSSA.

If you would like to register on the day, this will be possible, but please note that annual membership to the MSSA is R75.00. Entry for the tournament itself will be R50 per player.

Prizes from Mweb and Kalahari are also on offer.

Details:

  • Date: Saturday 11 May 2013
  • Time: 10am
  • Venue: GAMES ON Gaming Lounge, Riverside Mall, Rondebosch, Cape Town
  • Entry Fee: R50 (Please note, an additional R75 will be payable for MSSA registration if not done yet)
  • Tournament: Black Ops 2 4v4 based on the Clan Connection/MWEB Ladders ruleset. The tournament will run – as per MSSA rules – on the ‘Swiss Tournament System’.
  • Platform: Xbox 360
  • Notes: Please feel free to bring your own headset and controller.
  • Registration: Please email [email protected] to register your team. Please note that registration will be based on a first come first served basis and will be restricted to eight teams. Please ensure you and your team members are at the venue by 10am. Late arrivals may be excluded from the tournament.

  • First Prize: R400 Kalahari voucher for each member of the team. (Total: R1600)
  • Second Prize: R250 Kalahari voucher for each member of the team. (Total: R1000)
  • Third Prize: R150 Kalahari voucher for each member of the team. (Total: R600)
  • T-shirts will be on hand and given away as spot prizes.

Also, if you’re looking for Western Province Provincial colours, then the WP Provincial trials are set to take place on 4 August 2013.
