EA bailing on the Wii U?

17 May 2013

The Wii U hasn’t had the best support from big-name game publishers since its launch, and Electronic Arts seem to be dropping development for Nintendo’s console.

“We have no games in development for the Wii U currently,” said EA’s Jeff Brown. Brown also didn’t say whether the publisher will continue development projects for the console in the future.

EA has also announced that Madden NFL 25 won’t be making an appearance on the Wii U this year, but did say that they have “a strong partnership with Nintendo and will continue to evaluate opportunities for delivering additional Madden NFL products for Nintendo fans in the future.”

Since its launch, EA has released four games on the Wii U: Mass Effect 3, Madden NFL 13, FIFA 13, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
