Next to GTA 5, The Last of Us is arguably the most interesting and anticipated title this year, and with Uncharted developer Naughty Dog behind the development, an incredibly high level of quality is expected of the new game.
Naughty Dog has allowed a number of international publications and online sites to get some comfy hands-on time with the bone-chilling action horror, and from all accounts, it doesn’t look like it’s going to disappoint.
IGN were extremely flattering of the game, saying that the little touches and interpersonal dialogue between Ellie and Joel make the game’s atmosphere unlike anything else out there.
Eurogamer’s editor describes his experiences in Naughty Dog’s newest outing, also praising the game’s unique approach to action and suspense.
CVG’s Andy Kelly has been braving the wasteland in his preview, and can’t stop talking about the level of fidelity and denseness the game offers, along with its differences from the Uncharted series.
VG24/7 give a much more casual playthrough with the Last of Us demo, allowing viewers to see the game in all its glory.
Machinima give a greater insight into the world of the Last of US, describing the way in which the infected operate and evolve throughout the gameplay experience.
GamesWeasel also had some hands-on time with the game, and seem to echo everything the other publications are saying – highlighting the haunting and authentic nature of the game.
I have no interest in GTAV, especially after GTAIV. Between Last of US and Watch Dogs, GTA can go cry in the corner
