All the big Microsoft E3 announcements

Besides the big reveals of a new Halo game, Dead Rising 3 and the Xbox One pricing, there were a bunch of other announcements to take note of.

Sunset Overdrive

From Insomniac Games (Ratchet and Clank series, Resistance), comes Sunset Overdrive – a cartoon-inspired adventure game exclusive to Xbox One.

The trailer appears to show that the game features strong elements of free-running, traversal, gun combat and over-the-top gore.

Killer Instinct

One of the surprising reveals was that of Killer Instinct – a reboot of the series coming exclusively to Xbox One

The game only got a brief trailer, but it shows that the bloody and often insane battles and characters will return.

Ryse: Son of Rome

Ryse, which was once an Xbox 360 game, has received a full trailer, highlighting that it is now an Xbox One launch title.

Developed by renowned studio Crytek, Ryse: Son of Rome is an immersive action-adventure story of struggle, brutality, and heroism. It follows a fearless Roman soldier named Marius Titus who joins the army to avenge the slaying of his family and emerges as a hero who must fight to save the Roman Empire.

Minecraft Xbox One Edition

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will release within the Xbox One’s launch window and bring a bunch of blocky new features to the next-gen.

Building off the hugely successful Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, the edition on Xbox One will give players larger maps for bigger adventures, expanded multiplayer features, and feature enhancements powered by the Xbox One platform.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The much-anticipated Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now been confirmed to be coming to Xbox One, alongside PS4 and PC, and the announcement was accompanied by a shiny new trailer.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt crowns the trilogy with the main narrative, revolving around Geralt’s search for his loved ones and his conflict with the Wild Hunt.

Titanfall

Created by one of the co-creators of Call of Duty and other key developers behind the Call of Duty franchise, Titanfall, was formally revealed at the Microsoft press conference.

The game has been confirmed to be a PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive, and is a fast-paced multiplayer first-person action game, which also features heavily armoured titans, which the players can pilot in order to get an advantage on the battlefield.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V has been out in the open for quite some time now, but while it was speculated to be a PS4 exclusive, it’s now confirmed to also be heading to Xbox One, along with Xbox 360 and PS3.

As expected, The Phantom Pain will be the first game running on the new FOX engine, developed by Kojima Productions, and published by Konami. Hideo Kojima will be at the helm, writing, directing, and designing the game with his team.
