Braid dev causes Microsoft E3 “rape joke” ruckus

It seems like Microsoft is being targeted for anything and everything at the moment, but Braid developer Jonathan Blow’s  accusations of the company regarding “rape jokes” is up for debate.

Jonathan Blow, who was the developer behind the award-winning Braid, took to Twitter and quoted Torin Rettig, the producer on Killer Instinct at Microsoft Studios, who during the live demonstration of Killer Instinct, said to his female opponent: “Relax, just let it happen, it’ll be over soon.”

Blow added: “It was a rape joke, or at least sure seemed like it. I am not sure why pointing that out is controversial?”

Some Twitter users then asked Blow to explain his response, to which he stated:
