Contrary to their earlier report, Reuters is now indicating that the deal between Microsoft and KLab is only to bring Age of Empires to iOS and Android, and no other games are included in the deal.
The historical strategy game will be released worldwide in English for iPhones and Android-based phones, “with plans to release the game in other languages and on a Windows Phone in the future,” a Microsoft spokesperson said.

According to a Reuters report citing the Nikkei, Microsoft will be offering its console and computer game franchises on iPhone and Android smartphones during this fiscal year. A deal with Japanese smartphone game maker KLab Inc has been made to license and port the titles.
It will be safe to assume that the games will work on any compatible iOS and and Android tablet PC devices as well.
Microsoft’s “Age of the Empires” will be the first available as a free-to-play game, released worldwide by the end of the fiscal year 2013, with more titles to follow.
