Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time (it got delayed)

Plants vs Zombies

Fans of flora and the undead will be sad to learn that Plants vs. Zombies 2 is delayed.

The ironically subtitled Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time will now arrive at a later stage than the initial 18 July release date, as PopCap explains that it will drop “later in the summer. Stay tuned for more details.”

The developer said the reason was to ensure that the game is “up to fans’ standards.”

The sequel will feature new levels, plants, zombies and new content throughout the game’s life cycle, which is basically eternal.

There will also be ways to “break the fourth wall” in order to interact with zombies and plants directly through touch gestures.

The game will launch exclusively on iPhone, iPad and iPhone touch, but PopCap did say that it wants to extend the release beyond mobile platforms.
