Games you can play this week

With the end of July and beginning of August, there are some new gaming releases this week, including the return of a fan-favourite FPS franchise and a new take on the survival horror genre.

Rise of the Triad (PC) 31 July 2013

Rise of the Triad is a reboot of the 1995 first-person shooter which was developed by Duke Nukem creators 3D Realms.

The game is all about frantic run ‘n gunning, picking up health packs and body armour, and using insane weapons.

Interceptor Entertainment’s chaotic shooter should appeal to fans of old-school FPS action, while holding true to the current-gen feel of games.

Sir, You Are Being Hunted (PC, Mac, Linux) – July

One of the quirkier and more interesting games dropping this week is Sir, You are Being Hunted.

The game is an open-world survival shooter, where you’ll have to try and survive in a hunting ground populated by “Hunters”, who are robots dressed as Victorian gentlemen.

You can use traps and items in order to help you survive and escape the devilish blood-sport going on.
