The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China has released a video game to commemorate the founding of the group, and it’s not a tennis game.

The game is called Glorious Mission Online and is developed by Giant Interactive Group.

The game allows players to don the PLA uniform and defend China’s sovereign territories in the East China Sea against the Japanese.

Glorious Mission Online takes the form of a Counter-Strike-esque FPS, allowing players to engage in ground battles, as well as take control of mounted and vehicle weapons to fight off the enemy.

“The military was 100 percent behind this game,” said Giant Interactive. “Rather than playing the same foreign games like Call of Duty and being American Marines shooting Russians or whatnot, Chinese can actually play as Chinese soldiers.”
