Microsoft has released a “Microsoft by the Numbers” report, which details a collection of statistics regarding the company’s sales and milestones.
As of 11 August 2013, Microsoft has sold 76 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide, with 24 million Kinect sensors getting into the hands of gamers.
The Xbox 360 has also spent 30 straight months as the best-selling game console in the US.
Halo has always proved to be a strong point for Microsoft, and the fourth primary instalment in the series, Halo 4, earned $220 million in global sales in the 24 hours after its release.
Total sales of Halo games exceed 50 million copies.
In terms of the online experience, Xbox delivered 18 billion hours of entertainment throughout 2012.
Some other interesting non-gaming stats include about 9 million litres of free beverages consumed every year by Microsoft employees on the campus. The most popular soda selection is Coke Zero; 1 million cans are consumed annually.
About 554,000 pizza slices and an additional 250,000 personal-sized pizzas are consumed each year by hungry employees in Microsoft cafeterias.
