Microsoft SA has confirmed that Xbox Live Gold members will be getting Magic 2013 and Shadowrun this month as part of the Games with Gold programme.
The global Games with Gold offering this month sees Magic 2013 and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas on offer.
However, due to Rainbow Six: Vegas not being rated by the FPB (Film and Publications Board) for sale on SA’s Xbox Live service, South Africa will be receiving Shadowrun instead of Rainbow Six: Vegas.
Based on the hit trading card franchise, Magic 2013 brings new game challenges to Xbox 360 and features an easy-to-use tutorial system with 10 customizable decks, multiplayer and other new user-interface features. Check out what MyGaming thought of the game: Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 review
Released in 2007, Shadowrun mixed elements of the role-playing table-top game which its based upon, along with the speedy nature of modern FPSs, such as Counter-Strike.
The media reviews for the game were mixed, with most reviews citing a dire lack of content for a multiplayer-only game (9 maps, 7 weapons, 7 spells, 6 techs, 3 game modes) and the high price as the main criticisms.
Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers will be available until 15 September 2013, while Shadowrun will then be available for download until the end of September 2013.
