Batman: Arkham Origins has suffered a further delay in SA on certain platforms, according to local retailers.

The revised release dates are now as follows:

  • Batman: Arkham Origins PC – 6 November 2013
  • Batman: Arkham Origins Wii U – 15 November 2013
  • Batman: Arkham Origins – Blackgate 3DS – 1 November 2013

Retailers that MyGaming spoke to confirmed that this is due to shipping and logistics problems, compounded by the shipping delay of the title in Europe.

We are still waiting on official confirmation from Ster Kinekor Entertainment (SKE), distributor of Warner Bros products – but the game is most certainly delayed for the above-mentioned platforms, as retailers have begun informing their pre-order customers.

The good news is that the pricing remains the same, and there’s still time to check out our pre-order pricing roundup – Batman: Arkham Origins pre-order price roundup

Developed by WB Games Montréal, Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, where a bounty is put on Batman’s head, giving every villain the inventive to try and take down Batman all in the same night.

Warner Bros Games has released 17-minutes of gameplay to prepare you for the Dark Knight’s prequel adventure.

The actual gameplay looks spruced up from 2011’s Arkham City, and Warner Bros Montreal has really put their own stylistic stamp on the franchise.

You even get to see Alfred in the Batcave, some of the new weapons and gadgets at Batman’s disposal, and even the training arena that players can use to explore the new moves.
