Lost Planet 2 out now, local prices compared

14 May 2010

Set 10 years after the events of the original, Lost Planet 2 takes players back to a very different looking E.D.N III. What was once a snowy wasteland is now covered with lush tropical jungles, rivers, and other new environments. The snow has melted, and the planet is now inhabited by a variety of terrifying, large insects.

An on-going civil war is being fought between numerous factions, including the Snow Pirates and NEVEC (construction agency), as well as the Akrid who have expanded their armies significantly since the first game.

Lost Planet 2 is a third person shooter, and players spend most of their time engaged in ground based combat. There is also vehicle combat, and players can step on the mechanized armour suites.

Players can play the campaign on their own, or alternatively, they can team up with up to 4 players in online or spilt screen co-op. The game also features an online versus multiplayer component.

Lost planet 2 is now in local stores, and sadly for PC gamers, is only available on PS3 and Xbox 360.
