Yesterday Steam was officially launched for Mac OS platforms, and running with the release, Steam has come up with the Steam Play concept. Basically this means that you can purchase a game once for both PC and Mac platforms.
To prove their point, Steam has put five great indie games into the Steam Play Indie pack. For US$20 (±R150) you can pick up: And Yet it Moves, a 2D platformer with ‘sketchy’ graphics and a loose handle on which way is up; Galcon Fusion, an over the top and action packed multiplayer space RTS; Machinarium, an adventure game with gorgeous hand drawn visuals and challenging puzzles; Osmos, an exercise in transcendental-existentialism, set in a 2D physics based universe; and World of Goo, the 2D physics puzzler with indomitable balls of goo at its heart.
Steam points out that you will be saving just about US$50 (±R375) on the bundle versus buying the individual games.
Whilst this is undoubtedly another great indie deal from Steam, don’t forget that you have just over one day left to purchase six indie titles through the Humble Indie Bundle and redeem some karma points while you’re at it.
Happy indie gaming.
