Evolve from Left 4 Dead creators

9 January 2014

Turtle Rock Studios, developers of Valve’s Counter-Strike series and creators of Left 4 Dead, have announced their next game – Evolve.

Coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in mid 2014, the title will be sci-fi multiplayer shooter; squad-based action with a twist.

A team of four player-controlled alien hunters will go up against a single player-controlled monster that becomes more powerful as the battle rage on.

The alien hunters each have unique abilities and items, while the monster compensates for being outnumbered with an assortment of strong attacks and its overwhelming size.

The game will be published by 2K Games, which acquired the IP for $10.8 million from the auction of THQ assets in 2013.

Game Informer has the exclusive coverage lined up for the game, which will be fully revealed in their February 2014 edition, with regular updates on their Evolve hub.
