AMD releases Catalyst 10.5 driver

27 May 2010

AMD has posted a new driver update for its HD graphics card series. This covers all cards that are part of the HD2000, HD 3000, HD 4000 and HD 5000 range, including mobile cards.

The update brings compatibility for 120Hz displays, and introduces overclocking support on multi-display configurations.

While there are no reported performance enhancements, the update does apparently fix a number of bugs present in a few games, including Mass Effect 2, Bad Company 2, Empire: Total War, Uniengine Heavcn Benchmark 2.0 and Aliens vs. Predator.

The new drivers can be found here.
