PS Plus glitch gives free subscription until 2035

13 February 2014

As reported by VG247, a PS4 user has discovered a glitch with the free 14 day trial offer through the PS4, which enabled him to rack up a free subscription lasting until 2035.

When signing up for a free PS Plus trial through the Outlast-brand banner, the user was prompted to enter credit card details and renewal options. The 14-day renewal increment was available, and selecting it added another 14 days to his total.

After diligently pressing the ‘X’ a few times, his free renewal option stretched in 2033. He signed in the next day to see if the glitch still worked, and he managed to accrue a subscription renewal up to 2035.

Sony has not yet commented on the glitch.
