Angry Birds Stella announced

14 February 2014

Rovio, the world famous studio behind the billion dollar franchise Angry Birds, has announced a new spin in the franchise, Angry Birds Stella.

Think Angry Birds with cuter birds, brighter pastel colours, and more passionate characters.

Angry Birds Stella will revolve around the pink bird previously seen in Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Bird Go!

The press statement goes as follows:

“Angry Birds Stella is breaking the mould by introducing strong, passionate characters who really stand for something, while adding plenty of action and reality into the mix,” said Rovio’s chief executive Mikael Hed.

“The Angry Birds Stella story will live and evolve across physical and digital, bridging them in fun and innovative ways.”

Also on the Angry Bird note, the Angry Bird movie is set for release on 1 July 2016.

Rovia announced that the new brand will be used for upcoming games, animations, toys, books and other merchandise.

So basically the new characters will be everywhere, so prepare your wallets if you have a Angry Bird merchandise fetish.

I just think this whole “Stella” thing is a reason to produce and sell double the merchandise.
