I didn’t think much of the original Crysis at all – a drab and tedious shooter that had nothing much to recommend it outside of its visuals, and instead of blowing a second mortgage on a PC to run it, I could simply look out my window instead. Look, trees! But Crysis 2 has Richard Morgan aboard, and because I’m such a slut for his stuff, I’m shamelessly swapping sides for the sequel. I’m consistent like that.
Anyway, it’s scheduled for release sometime later this year, but it looks like EA and Crytek are throwing a big beta party in the meantime.
