Have you ever wondered what life would be like if you had to deal with real-world lag?

UmeNet, a fibre broadband provider, got four volunteers to wear Oculus Rift headsets which had been calibrated to deliver visual lag – and then set them loose on the world.

The point of the experiment was to show the effects of poor internet speed on our digital lives.

The test subjects tried dancing, ping-pong, bowling, and cooking with the headset on, and all failed miserably.
