Valve continues to raise money through the sale of its Compendium – $2.50 of its $10 price goes towards the prize pool.

To put the prize money into a local perspective,we considered how there is more money in Dota 2 than local rugby and cricket tournaments.

Dota 2 The International takes place at the Key Arena in Seattle, USA, from 18 – 21 July 2014. The tickets for the event were sold out in an under an hour at the beginning of last month.
