Blizzard has announced that Diablo 3 will keep its increased Legendary drop rate once the game’s 2-year anniversary celebrations end today, 22 May 2014.

“Once the buff is disabled tomorrow morning, you will find that the new base line drop rates for Legendary items will be the same as those you have all enjoyed for the last week,” said game designer Travis Day on the Battle.net forums.

Blizzard doubled the Legendary drop rate and the number of Rift Fragments awarded in the game from 15 May to 22 May 2014 as part of the celebrations. The bonus was only available to PC and Mac players.

The console version of Diablo 3 and its expansion Reaper of Souls, the Ultimate Evil Edition, will be released for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on 19 August 2014.
