Watch Dogs PS4, Xbox One graphics match PC high settings

Watch Dogs creative director Jonathan Morin has said that the much anticipated game looks the same on now-gen consoles (i.e PS4 and Xbox One) as it does on a gaming PC handling the settings on “high”.

Responding to a question on Twitter, Morin said: “PC High settings = NG (next-gen) Consoles.”

This may come as a surprise, as PC versions of games normally have the upper hand when it comes to top-end graphics settings. What we need to take into account is that Morin revealed that there are “Ultra PC requirements” for Watch Dogs, as well as the standard “recommended and minimum” settings. “High” does not always mean the top end when it comes to graphics settings on a PC.

Considering Watch Dogs will not run at 1080p 60 fps on the next-gen consoles, we don’t think PC gamers have anything to worry about – we really don’t need another Watch Dogs graphics controversy.

You can see what the game will look like running on top settings in the video, below.

Watch Dogs arrives on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on 27 May 2014. There’s a Wii U version promised for release in 2014, but no solid date has been announced.
