Battlefield Hardline gets release date, new trailer

6 June 2014

Battlefield Hardline will release on 21 October 2014.

EA made the announcement through the official teaser trailer for the game, posted below, but did not divulge which platforms the game will be available on.

Hardline is being developed by Visceral Games in conjunction with EA, and promises a more in-depth, story-driven single-player experience compared to other Battlefield titles.

“The game launches this [SA spring] and it’s a brand new series in the Battlefield franchise, set against the backdrop of a genre we all love – the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals,” said Visceral Games vice-president Steve Papoutis, previously.

The game is based around a detective named Nick Mendoza who pursues his rogue ex-partners across the U.S. New multiplayer modes will also be introduced in the cops-and-robbers game: Heist, Rescue, Hotwire, and Bloodmoney.

Is it too soon for another Battlefield title? Let us know in the comments and forum.
