Orcs Must Die! Unchained, the latest game in the OMD! series, will begin its closed beta on 27 June 2014. The game will be free-to-play.
The game mixes in MOBA – in this case 5v5 multiplayer and co-op vs bots – and collectible card game elements with the existing third-person action strategy template of OMD! and is set to be released for PC before the end of 2014.
Those interested in registering for the beta can do so on the game’s website.
“To celebrate the start of the closed beta, free-to-play hero rotations will be introduced and players will be able to get their hands on one of the new heroes each weekend throughout late June and early July,” developer Robot Entertainment announced.
