If they had built a giant X from something that became popular last month, I would just shake my head, but to pay homage to something that has been this popular for so long, that I can understand and respect but the one wuestion that comes to mind is this: When they decided they were going to build a giant replica of a fictional character that is distictively Japanese, how did they make their choice between Gundam and Godzilla? 😉
Personally, I would love to see a Macross fighter but all things being equal, this will do nicely 😀
