A film version of the stealth-action game Thief is in the works, according to reports.
The movie is being backed by production companies Vertigo and Prime Universe, and is being produced by Adrian Askarieh and Roy Lee – the duo behind the Deus Ex film project. Askarieh is also responsible from the 2007 film version of Hitman, while Vertigo is best known for the licensed film adaptation of The Lego Movie.
The Thief video game released for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC on 28 February 2014, and received decidedly above-average (read 7/10) scores from the international critics.
