StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty was launched at midnight on 27 July (in case you have been burrowing under some creep for the last three years). In anticipation of this momentous release, and with the hope of growing a large, friendly, and competitive StarCraft II community in South Africa, local website Polar Fluke endeavours to organise regular online tournaments amongst its community members.
Of course this can only be done if the local StarCraft II community gets involved – the platform is there, so let’s use it.
The first of the tournaments – dubbed Polarfluke: Released! – will be taking place over the weekend of 6 August, so there is still plenty of time to register. The tournaments are all organised online, and played via Battle.net, so one does not have to leave the comfort of their home to participate.

When and Where:
Group Stages: Official start time of 15:00 (3pm) Saturday 7th August.
16-player Bracket: The Single Elimination matches will start at 15:00 (3pm) Sunday 8th August.
The tournament will be run via the European Battle.net server. Thus please ensure you are in possession of a EU version of the game.
As stated in the rules all players must please /join #PolarfluKe during the tournament, to simplify contacting each other for matches.
The structure will be as follows
24+ Entries = 4 groups, 6+ players each, bo3. Top 4 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, bo3.
32+ Entries = 8 groups, 4+ players each, bo3. Top 2 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, bo3.
Seedings will be taken from previous FPPQQ tournaments where needed.
How to Register
Players have until 14:00 (2pm) Saturday [7th of August] to register their entries. Entries can be submitted via the PolarfluKe: Released Registration tab.
