Although the Xbox One and PS4 are getting a lot of the gaming world’s attention right now, PC is still the platform of the chosen Master Race.
Why do PC gamers stick to their keyboards and mice instead of getting a control in their hands? Well, in part, because of the games.
Here are some PC-exclusive titles which keep the consoles at bay.
Linchdom: Battlemage (Steam)
If Skyrim and Bulletstorm had a love child it would be named Lichdom: Battlemage. This intense first person spell making blood fest is a mash up of adventure and epic spells, and contains a loot system which revolves around your level – which is great.
Divinity: Original Sin
Divinity: Original Sin is the prequel to Divine Divinity – the classic RPG of 2002. Partially funded by Kickstarter, the game features to two heroes: a warrior, and a heroine who has mysteriously been restored to life.
Original Sin ships with its highly-acclaimed modding tools as well as its creation tools, allowing players to create their own scenarios.
Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth
The Civilization series has always been on the forefront of great turn-based strategy, and now the team at 2K has created a classic with a spin.
This time around the game takes place in the future, where mankind must travel through space to find new planets to call home.
The Sims 4
A PC-only list would not be complete without The Sims 4. If you are bored of being yourself and need a change in life, well, you should probably take action to improve your situation through hard work and dedication.
If that sounds too difficult, then just play The Sims 4 – now with pools.
Wildstar
Probably the greatest MMO released during 2014, Wildstar takes place on the planet of Nexus where a powerful race once known as the Eldan has disappeared. Wildstar takes the traditional MMO traversing system and puts a spin on it with its fast-paced exploration and combat.
Double jumping, dashing, and sprinting through the world and taking on massive foes in your quest to explore the Nexus is just plain awesome.
Ed’s note: I am sure the Dota 2 players will have something say, along with Arma gamers. If you feel your favourite PC-exclusive game has been left out, let us know in the comments and forum.
