After much anticipation, repeated delays and a slew of improvements, Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is releasing next week, April 14th, on PC. And boy is it going to make an impact for those of you who buy it at retail.
GTA V is by no means a “green” game. According to a Reddit post, the PC version of GTA V requires 7 discs worth of real estate. To be honest, this isn’t all that surprising given the game’s vast world and so massive storage requirements. At least the discs and that typical Grand Theft Auto artwork looks good.
This is what you can expect the retail box to look like. It’s almost here says the Grand Theft Feed Twitter page:
For those curious to see what’s inside this beast of burden, we’ve got the following image for you. It really is seven discs, otherwise known as a lot of discs.
There’s no denying that GTA V is on the rather large side, but it could certainly be worse. Don’t forget that Star Citizen’s client looks to be around 100GB! And there’s a good chance you won’t be able to buy that at retail. Good luck to those of you with bandwidth caps

Is this supposed to be surprising? DVD’s are only 4.7GB / 9.4GB.
In any case, I’d rather buy this online.
