Project CARS

After the news that Slightly Mad Studios are, as their name suggests, mad and have implemented 12K support for Project CARS for PC, we’ve been dying to find out when exactly it releases. So far, we’ve been told mid-May, but we want something more precise. Now we know.

Project CARS, according to a Tweet by Bandai Namco UK, will release on May 8th for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

How will adjusting these settings in Project CARS affect the game?

Continuing with the trend that Slightly Mad Studios are indeed a bunch of nutters, Digital Foundry has spotted and taken images of PC-like graphical settings in the Xbox One version of Project CARS. They weren’t unfortunately able to test how they affect the game’s visual performance, nor its frame rate for that matter. We suspect that turning effects on will lower the frame rate from 60fps to 30fps, for both the PS4 as well as the Xbox One. It’s all very mysterious.
