Sony has confirmed via the US PlayStation Blog that the PS3 exclusive FPS, Killzone 3, will hit US retail shelves on February 22. A European release date was not given, although it is generally expected to be out within a day or two of the US release date. Given that AAA games tend to be released locally on Fridays, we are guessing at a Feb 25 release date.
Killzone 3 is being developed by series progenitor, Guerilla Games, and will be playable in full stereoscopic 3D. It will also make use of Sony’s soon to be launched PlayStation Move controller, although it will be perfectly playable in 2D with the regular PS3 controller.
