Final Fantasy developer Square Enix, and peripheral manufacturer Sunflex (known for the snakebyte range of gaming peripherals) have signed a license agreement for computer accessories using the Final Fantasy XIV name.
The first product of this agreement is the official Final Fantasy XIV controller for PC, which brings together the official PlayStation-licensed PS2 controller from ZeroG, and the range of snakebyte’s PS3 controllers.
The controller will be available upon the release of the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV on the 30th September 2010. The PS3 version is set to follow in March 2011.

Final Fantasy XIV is another MMO outing for the series, promising to improve upon the combat and gameplay mechanics of Final Fantasty XI, and balance the solo and group-play experiences.
“We are pleased to offer gamers a high-quality controller for the release of Final Fantasy XIV, which will improve the game play feel of this great RPG saga on PC” said Mike Steup, Managing Director of Sunflex Europe.
